How does studying online work?

As an AOC student, you’ll be able to study at home or wherever you have access to the Internet. There are no classes to attend and you can study at your own pace.

The typical AOC student experience goes like this:

  1. The Enrolment Process
  2. Begin Your Studies
  3. Getting Help When You Need It
  4. Getting Assessed
  5. Graduate

1. The Enrolment Process

Select the course that interests you. The AOC website offers course outlines, topics covered, course fees and other course information. When you are ready to enrol in a program, simply select your course fee option (up-front or payment plan pricing), click Add to Cart.

2. Begin Your Studies

Upon enrolment you will receive a welcome email (within 1-2 hours) with instructions on how to login into your course and access your course and tutor support. You will not be required to purchase any further materials or textbooks. Assessments (written assignments) are based on the course materials, with some independent research required. There are no exams in our programs.

Study at your own pace: One of the many great benefits of our courses is that you can complete your course at your own pace. You can study and submit your assignments at any time over the enrolment period. Free extensions are also available if you need extra time to complete your course.

3. Getting Help When You Need It

Throughout your studies, if you have a question about anything in your course, just contact one of our tutors. Contact details are provided in your welcome email. Your tutors are available 7 days per week and are ready to answer any questions about the course and assessments.

4. Getting Assessed

With no fixed assessment dates, AOC students can submit their assessments at any time. This allows you to progress through the course at a pace that suits your needs. Assignments can be submitted via the elearning system.Your assignments and projects will be graded Competent/Not Yet Competent. Should you not pass an assignment you are able to resubmit your work three (3) times. Full tutor support is available to guide you towards successfully completing your program.

5. Graduation

All graduates receive a certificate of completion at the relevant level (Certificate, Advanced Certificate, Diploma).
